Location:
The Castle Lora del River is situated on a plateau on the western edge of the town of the same name.
History:
Of Muslim origin, the place was taken by Fernando III in the spring of 1247, during the Castilian advance towards. Description:
is not very high and shaped like a scalene triangle, with its longest side about 120 meters and the maximum width is about 35. What remains of the fort is a canvas of mud of about 90 meters north-facing residues observed in four quadrangular towers and remains of the parapet, and another stretch of about 35 meters facing west. Its surface should be around 3,000 m2. The access door must be between two of the north tower of the canvas, approximately in the center. By its position, controlling a loop of the Guadalquivir River, which in those days was navigable to Córdoba.

Protection:
Under the protection of the Declaration generic Decree of 22 April 1949, and Law 16/1985 on English Historical Heritage. In 1993 the Andalusian gave special recognition to the castles of the autonomous community of Andalusia.
