closer Aerolineas Argentinas takes the path

By Ricardo J. Delpiano
After more than ten years have made its last flight between Mendoza and Santiago, Aerolineas Argentinas is preparing to resume the traditional route to run the second half of this year through a change in its schedule of flights to Chile.

Beginning July 1, Aerolineas Argentinas flight AR1286 from operating the airport and Santiago, with an intermediate stop in Mendoza, while the return leg it will be added in the AR1281 morning flight (the first flight departing from the company owns the Chilean capital).

With the launch of this new link between Mendoza and Santiago, Aerolineas Argentinas also restart your links from Chile with the interior of Argentina, services that previously had been operated not only for this business but for other companies in Argentina and Southern Winds and LAPA.
The change in operation is designed to provide non-stop air link between Chile and Argentina within through Mendoza, building on important traffic there from western Argentina to Chile and vice versa. Considering the next entry in Aerolineas Argentinas to the Sky Team alliance, is possible to assume that in the near future this daily flight from Mendoza to Santiago can be considered a useful tool for the company in Argentina to provide a convenient connection to passengers western Argentina to U.S. destinations through flights of Delta Air Lines.

flight placement will also feed the "Federal Corridor" that Aerolineas Argentinas opened last year, offering new options for connectivity in neighboring Chile. The "Federal Corridor" is a unique service that Aerolineas Argentinas launched in 2010 to provide an air link between the main cities of the provinces with a circular flight starts and ends in Buenos Aires and includes cities such as Port IguazĂș, Salta, Mendoza and Bariloche. This service is guided by the policy established by the Government of airlines Nation Argentina, for the company to offer greater connectivity in the country and the international level.

the third anniversary of the nationalization of Aerolineas Argentinas and Austral, the company has focused its strategy toward the domestic market and regional markets in which airlines are in a better position thanks to its structure operation, where much of its aircraft fleet consists of short-medium range, as opposed to long-range segment where the company has not been able to incorporate new aircraft, with the exception of a single Airbus A340-300. Also, the emphasis on domestic and regional airlines is part of the political aspect of the company, which is inherent in his role as aviation company, especially since the government of Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner took office as part of its plan of government recovery the airline.
