Photo: Rafa Lara . The Tower Villadiego Hermitage is located in the municipality of Peñaflor , about 15 kilometers from Lora del Río Peñaflor direction, namely the 61.500 kilometer of the C-431, roadside.
History:
Peñaflor was given to the Order of the Hospital after its conquest by Fernando III in 1240. The octagonal shape Tower suggests that it is of Almohad origin. It was the hospital which apparently attached to it the chapel of a single ship in which small garden you can see Roman antiquities as pillars and tombstones. Inside it there are several of them from the rich reservoir Celti close.
Description:
Tower irregular octagonal shape of the west façade cantilevers can see brocket converted into a belfry.
Materials:
Built on a foundation of ashlar blocks and blocks of reinforcement in the corners. On its facade is observed numerous remains of lime and sand plaster.

bell is now used as the Chapel of Villadiego. You can only visit abroad.
Protection:
Under the protection of the general declaration of the Decree of April 22, 1949, and Law 16/1985 on English Historical Heritage. In 1993 the Andalusian gave special recognition to the castles of the autonomous community of Andalusia.
